Chai Hu plus Long Bone and Oyster Tang is composed of Chai Hu, Scutellaria baicalensis, Long Bone, Ginger, Lead Dan, Ginseng, Gui Zhi, Poria, Rhubarb, Pinellia, Oyster, Jujube and other medicines, which has the efficacy of reconciling Shao-Yang (treating exogenous fever with evils in the half-expression and half-river area), promoting Yang and diarrheal heat (warming the Yang qi to get rid of the heat evils), and calming and tranquillizing the mind. It can be clinically used for the treatment of typhoid fever Shaoyang (one of the six meridians of typhoid fever, the location of which is between the surface and the inside of the body) and phlegm-heat heart disturbances caused by disturbances of the heart such as restlessness, timidity, fear of things, fearfulness and anxiety, dysuria, and inability to turn the side of the body. Chai Hu Plus Long Bone and Oyster Soup is not the only formula for treating liver diseases, and it can only be taken for treatment when liver diseases are recognized as belonging to the above mentioned patterns and when the symptoms mentioned above occur.
