Black Chaihu is a plant of the genus Chaihu in the family Umbelliferae. It is slightly cold in nature, pungent and bitter in flavor, and belongs to the liver and gallbladder meridians. Black Chaihu has the effects of relieving fever, relieving the liver and depression, and elevating yang to lift the sunken organs.
