Do you have to cut the uterus for advanced cervical cancer?

Generally speaking, cervical lesions are divided into high-grade lesions and low-grade lesions. High-grade lesions are still precancerous, not cancerous, and the routine treatment is to do cervical Sharp knife surgery or cold knife conization surgery, and deal with them according to the pathologic results of conization. If the pathologic result of conization is still high-grade lesions and the margins are negative, the patient can be followed up regularly and there is no need to cut the uterus. If the high grade lesion is upgraded after conization, uterine excision may be needed if invasive cervical cancer is suspected. However, the need for hysterectomy should be considered according to the patient’s age, fertility, and the pathologic results of the conization.
