Cervical spine pain and dizziness are mostly seen in vertebral artery-type cervical spondylosis, in which the vertebral artery is compressed and leads to insufficient blood supply to the brain, which in turn causes dizziness and swelling. General treatment, physical therapy, medication and surgery are needed according to the condition. 1. General treatment: During an attack, it is recommended not to lower the head for a long time, not to use higher pillows, and to reduce the activities of the neck, using a neck brace if necessary. 2. Physiotherapy: For neck pain and soreness, local hot compresses can be given to relieve the tension of the neck muscles and promote local blood circulation. 3. Medication: Because of the soreness in the neck, painkillers such as ibuprofen can be taken, and drugs that dilate the cerebral blood vessels, such as flunarizine, can be given. 4. Surgery: For those with severe symptoms and ineffective conservative treatment, surgery, such as cervical decompression surgery, can be considered to relieve the pressure on the vertebral artery. It is recommended to go to the hospital, complete the auxiliary examination, in order to clarify the condition, and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment. Drugs have adverse reactions and contraindications, need to be used under the guidance of a professional physician, not blindly use their own medication.
