Neuroedema after cervical spinal stenosis surgery may cause shoulder and neck pain, abnormal skin sensation, decreased muscle strength of upper limbs, and finger inflexibility due to nerve compression. 1. Shoulder and neck pain: postoperative neural edema can easily lead to nerve root compression and nerve root irritation. Shoulder and neck pain is a common early symptom, which can be aggravated in the short term and radiate to the upper limbs. 2. Abnormal skin sensation: nerve root stimulation can cause skin numbness, allergy, loss of skin sensation and other abnormal sensations. 3. Decrease in muscle strength of upper limbs: muscles of upper limbs are innervated by nerves, when the nerves are stimulated, it can affect the muscle strength, resulting in a decrease in muscle strength, and there can be symptoms such as finger inflexibility and weakness in holding objects. 4. Finger inflexibility: finger muscle contraction can produce movement, muscle contraction by the nerve innervation, if the nerve root is compressed, can stimulate the nerve, resulting in muscle contraction disorder, which leads to finger inflexibility. If it is diagnosed as neural edema after cervical spinal stenosis surgery, it is recommended to carry out standardized treatment as early as possible to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
