Precautions for systemic lupus erythematosus

  Diet: Be careful with cilantro, shiitake mushrooms, celery, alfalfa, figs, smoked meat, etc.; Medications: Be careful with penicillin, sulfonamides, and allergy medications; Life: Live a disciplined life, do not be depressed, and maintain a stable mood to avoid recurrence of the disease; do not sunbathe to avoid photosensitivity; adult women should pay attention to contraception, as the disease can be aggravated during unstable periods.  Medical follow-up: “Regular monthly follow-up and medication according to medical prescription” is the key to treatment and stabilization of the disease.  For married female patients with SLE who want to have children, the conditions for pregnancy are: no drugs affecting pregnancy, such as methotrexate; dose of prednisone ≤10mg; no impairment of organ function; normal indexes and stable condition for more than one year. After pregnancy, regular monthly follow-up visits to the obstetrics and rheumatology departments are required.
