There are two main types of treatment for strabismus: non-surgical and surgical. Non-surgical treatment includes orthoptic training, glasses, medication, and treatment of strabismic amblyopia. In addition, surgical treatment is the surgical method, which mainly targets the extraocular muscles. Strabismus should be treated with appropriate and effective methods under the guidance of a doctor in order to achieve the maximum satisfactory results. For adult patients, the cosmetic nature of strabismus treatment is more demanding. However, delayed strabismus treatment can be detrimental to children not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of the development and formation of visual acuity and binocular vision.
