Triple negative breast cancer, with relatively higher malignancy, requires more elaborate treatment plan. Chemotherapy principles: chemotherapy is considered for tumors larger than 0.5 cm, and must be given for tumors larger than 1 cm, and more so if the lymph nodes are positive. Chemotherapy regimens are dose-intensive AC followed by paclitaxel regimen, or paclitaxel + cyclophosphamide regimen. There are of course other more flexible regimens. Principles of radiotherapy: As for radiotherapy, it is not recommended for patients with tumors less than 5 cm and negative lymph nodes. On the contrary, radiotherapy is required.
