The difference between Wuling Capsule and Liuwei Di Huang Wan exists in composition, function and main treatment.
1. Difference in composition and function:
Wuling capsule consists of powdered Wuling mushroom, the function is to tonify the kidney and brain, nourish the heart and tranquilize the mind. Six-flavored Dihuang Pill is composed of ripened dihuang, zejia, poria, wine cornelian, mudanpi, yam, and its function is to nourish yin and tonify the kidney.
2. The difference of the main treatment:
Wuling Capsule is used to treat heart and kidney disorders (heart fire, kidney yin deficiency, dysfunction of the physiological functions of the heart and kidneys) caused by palpitations, forgetfulness, insomnia, fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), lack of energy and laziness (lack of strength, do not want to talk), dizziness and tinnitus; neurasthenia is seen in the above symptoms.
Six-flavored Di Huang Pill is used to treat dizziness, night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, sweating stops after waking up), tinnitus, spermatorrhea, lumbar and knee soreness and weakness, and bone vaporization and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bone outward) caused by insufficient kidney yin.
Adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and itching may occur when taking both Wu Ling Capsules and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to Liuwei Di Huang Wan and its contained ingredients, and should be taken with caution for those with dry cough due to yin deficiency. The contraindications of Wu Ling Capsules are not clear. The drug needs to be used under the guidance of a doctor.
