(1) A limited thickening or painless lump in an area of the breast should be considered an alarm sign. (2) Depression of the skin of the breast. (3) Abnormal nipple discharge, especially if it is bloody. (4) Nipple retraction, scaly or peri-nipple eczema-like changes that do not heal. (5) Change in breast shape and loss of symmetry on both sides.
