Causes of high glyco-antigen ca125

High glycoantigen CA15 values may be caused by a number of reasons and are generally classified as benign high or malignant high. In the case of malignant high, when breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer and even lung cancer are present, there may be a high CA125 value. If it is benign, endometriosis, chocolate cysts, endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease and even pancreatitis may have a high CA125 value, but such a high value is only a little above the normal range, sometimes about 10 U/ml or 50 U/ml, and when there is malignant and benign thoracic ascites, there may also be a high CA125 value. If the CA125 value is high, the glycoprotein CA125 value should be rechecked in 1-3 months if possible, if it returns to normal, it means there is no big problem, if it is still persistently high, CT and X-ray scans should be performed.
