Symptoms of HIV infection in men can be categorized into three different symptoms such as acute stage, asymptomatic stage and AIDS stage, each of which is characterized by different features as well as degree of destruction and infectiousness.
AIDS is a systemic disease caused by the infection of the organism with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), causing various opportunistic infections and tumors.
1. Acute phase: 1~2 weeks after infection, men may have intermittent fever, fatigue, dizziness, headache, skin rash, sore throat and other symptoms, and there may be lymph node enlargement, after the acute phase passes, the symptoms will disappear, the symptoms are similar to those of colds, and therefore may be ignored .
2. Asymptomatic phase: the disease may enter this phase from the acute phase, or enter this phase directly without obvious acute phase symptoms. Generally, there are no obvious conscious symptoms in men in this phase, but there may be generalized lymph node enlargement, and this phase may last up to 6~8 years.
3. AIDS stage: the disease develops to this stage of the male, may appear unexplained persistent fever, time is basically greater than 1 month, lymph node swelling may also persist, and a variety of complications, such as chronic diarrhea, weight loss and other manifestations of the young and middle-aged patients may also appear dementia, and the serious cases may even develop systemic infections and a variety of tumors.
HIV-infected patients should go to the hospital in a timely manner, under the diagnosis of the doctor to determine the condition and choose the way of treatment, to avoid delaying the treatment to aggravate the condition.
