How to tell if you have gall bladder pain and liver pain

Biliary pain and hepatic pain are mainly determined by past history, nature of pain and ultrasound examination. 1. Past history: patients with biliary pain often suffer from gallbladder diseases such as cholecystitis, gallbladder stones, gallbladder tumors, etc. Patients with liver pain often suffer from hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver cancer, or have a history of liver rupture and trauma. It is possible to make a preliminary judgment through the past history. 2. Nature of pain: biliary pain is persistent colic, which can be aggravated by paroxysmal pain and often radiates to the right shoulder, and the pain is obvious at the intersection of the right midclavicular line and the right costal margin; hepatic pain is mainly manifested as persistent vague pain and distension, and sometimes it can be severe pain, and the site is often in the right side of the rib arch. 3. Ultrasonography: gallbladder pain can often be found under the ultrasound of the gallbladder lesions, such as gallbladder edema, showing bilateral signs. In liver pain, ultrasound will show space-occupying lesions in the liver if it is liver cancer, or shrinkage of the liver and uneven surface if it is cirrhosis. Liver pain and biliary pain can be determined by ultrasound. If there is any abdominal discomfort, consult a doctor promptly and follow the medical advice.
