How to deal with side effects of ferrous succinate tablets

Ferrous Succinate may cause side effects such as nausea and abdominal discomfort after administration, which usually improve after suspension of the medication, but may be treated symptomatically if the symptoms continue to persist. Ferrous succinate is used to prevent or treat diseases such as iron deficiency anemia. Side effects such as vomiting, loss of appetite, and constipation may occur after taking ferrous succinate, and these symptoms usually resolve gradually after stopping the drug. Long-term persistent symptoms such as constipation may be ameliorated by dietary improvements and the judicious use of diarrhea-inducing drugs such as lactulose under the supervision of a clinician. If the adverse effects are severe but iron therapy is still required, other iron supplements such as ferric gluconate may be substituted as appropriate. It should be noted that the use of this drug is prohibited in the presence of severe injury or insufficiency of liver and kidney function, acute-phase urinary tract infections, hemochromatosis, ferrous hemoflavinosis, thalassemia and other diseases. Adverse reactions such as vomiting and constipation are recommended to consult a doctor; ferrous succinate is recommended to be used under the guidance of a clinician.
