Do babies with three generations of IVF still have cleft lip and palate?

Babies with three generations of IVF are at risk of developing cleft lip and palate. Cleft lip and palate refers to cleft lip and cleft palate, which is a neonatal facial deformity caused by genetic and environmental factors that result in the development of the mesodermal tissues of the lip and palate of the fetus’s oral cavity in the early embryonic stage, being impaired. When a parent or other immediate family member using third generation IVF has a cleft lip and palate, the risk of the fetus developing the condition is also increased. While cleft lip and palate caused by genetic abnormalities can generally be screened for by third generation IVF, cleft lip and palate caused by environmental factors such as exposure to radiation during pregnancy cannot be predicted and screened for in advance, and is therefore likely to occur. Cleft lip and palate may also occur with third-generation IVF techniques, and it is recommended that you pay attention to your surroundings during pregnancy to avoid the occurrence of cleft lip and palate.
