Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is divided into several categories

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is categorized into five types, including classic, cellular, collapsed, apical, and nonspecific. 1. Classic type, glomerulosclerotic lesions are mainly located in capillary loops on one side of the vascular pole. 2. Cellular type, there are localized endothelial cells and thylakoid cells proliferation, accompanied by podocytosis, such as hyperplasia, hypertrophy, vacuolar degeneration, and so on. 3. Collapsed type, with collapsed and atrophied capillary loops, segmental or spherical distribution, and vacuolar degeneration, hyperplasia and hypertrophy of podocytes. 4. Apical type, the lesion site is mainly located at the urothelium. 5. non-specific type, with predominantly mesangial cell and stromal hyperplasia, but not belonging to any of the above subtypes. Focal segmental glomerulonephritis can present with symptoms such as hematuria, proteinuria, hypertension, etc. It is recommended that patients consult regular hospitals in time and standardize the treatment under the guidance of physicians.
