If the testicle is not painful, it can be initially determined that it is not related to testicular torsion. The main symptom of testicular torsion is pain, and most patients visit the doctor because of severe pain, which usually radiates to the groin and lower abdomen. The skin of the scrotum becomes red and swollen over time, and the testicles can be seen to move upward when palpated. A few people may also have other symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and in a few cases, a low-grade fever. In this case, an ultrasound of the scrotum is needed immediately, and the testicular torsion can be determined almost immediately by the ultrasound of the scrotum.
