Allergic rhinitis is a common and multifaceted disease in otorhinolaryngology, and its etiology and pathogenesis are complex. There are still many problems plaguing clinicians, and the current treatment methods are many, but the results are still not as good as expected. It is still a challenge for our otorhinolaryngologists to explore inexpensive and effective treatment options. For this reason, the author has accumulated a little experience in the treatment of allergic rhinitis with Yu Ping Feng San while learning from the experience of his predecessors and summarizing his experience, which will be exchanged with colleagues for common improvement. I. Yu Ping Feng San is the main formula for the treatment of variant rhinitis Although there are various types of variant rhinitis and the condition is complicated, the basic type of rhinitis is still characterized by Wei Qi deficiency, or accompanied by Qi deficiency. Since the main problem is Wei Qi deficiency, and the main effect of Yu Ping Feng San is to tonify Qi and fix the surface, Yu Ping Feng San is the basic formula for treating variant rhinitis. In my clinical work, I have used Yu Ping Feng San as the main formula for various types of variant rhinitis, adding and subtracting with the evidence, and have obtained good therapeutic results. The reason why Yu Ping Feng San can be effective is that the formula has a good effect of benefiting qi and fixing the surface, Huang Qi is sweet and warm, which can greatly nourish the qi of the spleen and lung internally and fix the surface and stop sweating externally, Bai Zhu strengthens the spleen and improves qi, which helps Huang Qi to strengthen the power of benefiting qi and fixing the surface, Fang Feng goes to the surface and removes the wind and evil, and the combination of Qi and Zhu Zhu is mainly to support the righteousness and eliminate the evil. Modern experimental research, that astragalus has the function of regulating immune cells, can inhibit metabolic reactions, but also from a side to prove that the formula in the treatment of variant rhinitis effective. In clinical work, there are some patients who do not have significant effect with this formula. The reason for this is not that there is a problem with the formula, but that the condition is constantly evolving, the condition is prolonged, and the comorbidities appear, so the formula needs to be adjusted. The long-standing disease requires additional prescriptions to invigorate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and the co-infection needs to be combined with a formula to clear heat and remove blood stasis, with different constitutions and different supplements and diarrhea. For more than ten years, I have been treating variant rhinitis with ease.
