Etiological treatment: if the diarrhea is caused by eating foods containing much fat or consuming dairy products for lactose intolerant people, they should avoid eating such foods; if the diarrhea is caused by acute gastroenteritis, pay attention to light diet, and can be treated with antibiotics such as levofloxacin; if the diarrhea is caused by inflammatory bowel disease, it can be treated with medicines such as 5-amino-salicylic acid or prednisone, and pay attention to light diet.
