Is psoriasis contagious or hereditary

Is psoriasis contagious? Can psoriasis be passed on to the next generation? This is a question of great concern to many psoriasis patients. Together with inaccurate propaganda such as advertisements, it makes many patients worried. Through years of clinical and laboratory research, it has been confirmed that psoriasis is not contagious in any way. As for heredity, psoriasis patients do not have to worry too much. Research shows that about 20% of psoriasis patients have a family history, and when one parent has psoriasis, the incidence of psoriasis in their children is about 16%; while when both parents are psoriasis patients, the incidence of psoriasis in their children is about 50%. Therefore, psoriasis patients need not worry too much about whether their children will have psoriasis. Because, most children with psoriasis will not develop psoriasis throughout their lives. Psoriasis only has a hereditary tendency, but it is not a genetic disease, and it is not that children will definitely have psoriasis.
