What to do about the urethral coronal pattern in newborns

Urethral coronal type shall mean hypospadias penile head type, and neonatal hypospadias penile head type is mainly treated by surgery.
Hypospadias is a congenital developmental abnormality with a fissure on the lower side of the urethra, which may be related to endocrine factors, genetic factors, etc. The vast majority of patients are males, while penile cephalic type is an abnormal opening of the urethra that occurs on the lower side of the urethra between the head of the penis and the coronal sulcus of the penis.
Newborns with hypospadias penile cephalic type should be treated with surgery as early as possible. The timing of the surgery is recommended to be performed between the ages of 6 months and 1 year, with all surgical procedures completed by the age of 5 years. Surgical procedures generally include penile curvature correction and urethroplasty.
Most children are able to stand up and urinate as normal after aggressive treatment and have a normal sex life and fertility in adulthood.
Newborns with hypospadias penis head type should be treated under a doctor’s supervision.
