This product can rapidly increase the osmotic pressure of the extracellular fluid, which makes the water of the intracellular fluid to move to the outside of the cell, and when increasing the volume of the extracellular fluid, it can also increase the intracellular fluid osmotic pressure.
Adverse reactions to this product include chest tightness, edema, elevated blood pressure, dyspnea, hypernatremia, and acute left heart failure. Concentrated sodium chloride injection is contraindicated in patients with edematous diseases, acute renal failure oliguric stage, chronic renal failure with oliguria and ineffective diuretics, hypertension, hypokalemia, isotonic or hypertonic water loss.
