In daily life, there is often a ringing sound when a patient twists his neck, which is a relatively common condition, mainly due to the ringing sound caused by friction between the muscles of the back of the neck or the interspinous ligaments, or the ringing sound caused by the activity between the small joints of the cervical spine. If there is only a simple rattling sound in the clinic, and there is no pain, no special treatment can be done and regular observation can be made. If there is a rattling sound when the patient twists the neck and it is accompanied by pain, it needs to be noticed. First, an X-ray or CT film of the cervical spine should be taken to clarify the presence of cervical spondylosis. If the patient has pain when there is a rattling sound or numbness, tingling in both upper limbs, weakness in the fingers or pathological reflexes, cervical spondylosis can be diagnosed. In terms of treatment, the patient should be instructed to apply local brakes, give a cervical brace for immobilization, and perform jaw belt traction at the same time, and also take oral nerve-nourishing drugs.
