Does enteritis always lead to weakly positive fecal occult blood?

Not all bowel infections result in weakly positive fecal occult blood, and mild bowel infections do not result in blood in the stool. Weakly positive occult blood may occur when the symptoms worsen, which in turn may lead to significant blood in the stool.
Enteritis is generally an inflammatory reaction of the intestinal tract caused by infection, ischemia, and medication in patients. Patients may have abdominal pain, diarrhea, watery stools and other symptoms.
Mild enteritis generally does not cause intestinal bleeding, timely treatment will not cause too much impact. If the patient is not timely treatment, the inflammatory reaction is intensified, may stimulate intestinal congestion and edema, rupture and bleeding, which leads to weakly positive fecal occult blood, if the symptoms are serious, the amount of bleeding is large, there may be obvious mucus pus blood stool.
Patients with enteritis with fecal occult blood should undergo further examination in a timely manner to clarify the location of the gastrointestinal lesion and receive appropriate treatment.
