Does a cervical TCT test hurt?

Cervical TCT is not painful. Cervical TCT, also known as liquid-based cytology with cervical smear, is a non-invasive test of the cervix and is a commonly used cervical cancer screening test. As a cervical cancer screening, it can reach about 70% compliance rate with the final cervical cancer diagnosis. The procedure of cervical TCT is to wipe the cervical surface secretion first, then place the cell brush inside the cervical canal, reaching about 10mm above the ectocervix, rotate it several times inside the cervical canal and then remove it, rotate the cell brush to spread the specimen attached to the small brush evenly on the slide or elute it inside the preservation solution, from this process it can be seen that there is no pain in TCT examination. If the TCT report shows no intraepithelial lesion cells or malignant cells, it is normal and does not require any treatment and can be reviewed regularly every year.
