What is Alisatan?

Alisartan is an antihypertensive drug that belongs to the class of renin angiotensin receptor antagonists (ARBs) and can be used in the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension. Alisartan is a renin angiotensin receptor antagonist, due to the strong vasoconstrictive effect of angiotensin II, this class of drugs can antagonize the binding of angiotensin II and the receptor, thus blocking the vasoconstrictive effect of angiotensin II.
