Will you always urinate if you have stones?

This is often seen with stones at the end of the ureter or bladder stones, which can be accompanied by significant urinary tract irritation, a constant feeling of holding urine, but not much urine is passed each time or there is difficulty in passing urine. This is often due to the obstruction caused by the stone or to the excessive and frequent contraction of the bladder’s forceps muscle, and therefore the feeling of always wanting to urinate is produced. However, kidney stones and stones in the upper ureter are usually not accompanied by this feeling. Therefore, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital for an examination to determine whether there are stones in the lower urinary tract or stones at the end of the ureter. In addition to the feeling of wanting to urinate, stones may also be accompanied by significant pain, such as back pain or abdominal pain. Some patients may also experience hematuria, but this symptom needs to be differentiated from acute cystitis and urethritis. Ultrasound of the urinary system can be performed to clarify the diagnosis.
