Nutcracker syndrome does not usually cause urinary protein 3+, the syndrome is commonly hematuria and upright proteinuria, 24-hour urinary protein is not greater than 1g, the qualitative is about 1+ or so.
Urine protein 3 +, quantitative often greater than 3g/24h, can be seen in primary or secondary glomerular disease, such as nephrotic syndrome, diabetic nephropathy, etc. In addition to proteinuria, often accompanied by edema, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, can be further renal ultrasound, renal function tests, renal biopsy and so on to clarify the cause of proteinuria.
Nutcracker syndrome is the left renal vein back into the inferior vena cava is squeezed, often accompanied by a decrease in blood flow velocity of the left renal vein, distal vein dilatation of the compression, causing hematuria, proteinuria, left lumbar and abdominal pain and other symptoms. Generally proteinuria is not greater than 1+, which can be alleviated after rest and significantly aggravated after activity.
