Difference between blepharitis and erysipelas

Blepharitis is short for blepharitis and both are the same disease. Blepharitis, also known as wheals, is an acute purulent inflammation that occurs in the glands of the eyelids and can be divided into external and internal blepharitis. It is often characterized by redness, swelling, heat and pain in the affected area, hardness and tenderness of the lid margins, and may be accompanied by swelling and pain in the lymph nodes in front of the ear. Early blepharitis is usually relieved by localized hot compresses, and patients can use levofloxacin eye drops to fight infection and promote recovery. The eyelids are rich in glands and located on the surface of the body, so they are susceptible to trauma, microorganisms and external physical and chemical substances, and are prone to inflammatory diseases. Common inflammatory diseases of the eyelids include blepharitis, blepharitis, viral or contact blepharitis, and blepharopharyngitis cysts. It is recommended that patients with blepharitis seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
