Epigastric discomfort is the most common initial symptom in gastric cancer, about 80% of patients have this symptom, which is similar to indigestion. If abdominal pain occurs, it is usually mild and irregular, and cannot be relieved after eating. These symptoms are often mild and not taken seriously by patients, and most patients have positive signs in addition to a weak general condition, with deep pressure pain only in the upper abdomen. Even when seeking medical attention, they are easily mistaken for gastritis or ulcer disease. Early stage gastric cancer patients usually have no obvious symptoms and positive signs, which is more likely to be neglected. Therefore, if the following conditions occur, further examination should be conducted to avoid missing the diagnosis: 1.No previous history of gastric disease, but recently unexplained epigastric discomfort or pain occurs, which is ineffective after treatment; 2.Previous history of gastric ulcer, but recently the regularity of epigastric pain changes and the degree becomes increasingly aggravated. 3.If the symptoms are relieved, but there is another episode in a short period of time. 4.There are obvious symptoms of loss of appetite or loss of appetite. 5.Unexplained anorexia and emaciation. These may be the initial symptoms of early gastric cancer, which need to be taken seriously.
