Levofloxacin hydrochloride is an antibacterial drug, belonging to the fluoroquinolone class of antibacterial drugs, which is effective against infections caused by bacteria such as gram-negative bacilli, gram-positive cocci, mycoplasma and chlamydia. It can be used mainly for infections of the respiratory system, such as pneumonia, sinusitis, and chronic bronchitis. It can also be used for skin and soft tissue infections, such as abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections, and urinary system infections, including prostatitis, pyelonephritis, and urinary tract infections. However, it should be noted that it is prohibited for children under 18 years of age because of the possibility of arthrosis or bone and soft tissue lesions after the use of the drug. Serious side effects such as tendon rupture may occur in the elderly, so if you need to use the drug, be sure to keep an eye on it to see if any symptoms occur.
