What’s with the ankle pain?

The causes of ankle soreness are as follows: First, chronic ligament injury of the ankle joint is considered, such as soreness and pain of the ankle joint after a large number of sports, which is generally considered to be the existence of micro-injury of local ligaments, such as tearing or the existence of ligamentous exudation. Secondly, synovitis of the ankle joint is considered, which may be aggravated by synovial inflammation caused by cold wind or cold water stimulation, or aggravated by synovial inflammation caused by excessive exercise, which will be manifested as soreness and discomfort of the ankle joint. Thirdly, degenerative osteoarthritis is considered, which may be due to previous ankle fracture and not well reset, and degenerative traumatic arthritis may occur in the later stage, manifested as soreness and pain in the hip joint. Fourthly, it is possible that due to higher age, the articular cartilage gradually undergoes wear and degradation, causing osteophytes on the periphery of the joint and narrowing of the joint space, and chronic soreness of the ankle joint may also occur.
