Most children with fever and stomach pain are suffering from pain caused by inflammation of mesenteric lymph nodes due to bacterial or viral invasion. Blood count, sedimentation, C-reactive protein and abdominal ultrasound can be checked. If it is caused by viral, antiviral drugs such as ribavirin can be given as symptomatic treatment; if it is caused by bacterial infection, antibiotic drugs such as penicillins, cephalosporins, macrolides can be given as symptomatic treatment. Acute appendicitis with rebound pain in the abdomen is also common in some children, and it is recommended to register with the Department of Pediatric Surgery, which usually gives surgical treatment.
