What’s that little bump under your eye?

A small bump under the eye may be caused by blepharocysts, blepharitis, steatosis, and sweat duct tumors.
1. Blepharophalangeal cysts: These are chronic granulomas that form in the area of the blepharophalangeal glands as a result of obstruction of the blepharophalangeal gland’s drainage ducts, leading to retention of secretions, which may manifest themselves as small bumps underneath the eyes and are not accompanied by painful symptoms, and generally do not require any special treatment.
2. Blepharitis: mainly caused by pathogenic infection of the blepharoplasty glands at the base of the eyelashes at the edge of the eyelid, which can lead to a small lump under the eye, and may be accompanied by symptoms such as congestion and swelling of the eye.
3. Fatty granules: also known as cornu rashes, occurring on the face, especially around the eyes, is located in the dermis of the small cysts, which can be manifested as a small pimple under the eyes, usually not accompanied by itching, pain symptoms.
4. Sweat duct tumor: the disease is mainly involved in the sweat gland ducts of benign skin tumors, occurring in the facial parts, especially the lower eyelid is common, can be manifested as a small lump under the eye, may also be accompanied by local itching, burning sensation and other manifestations.
