How insulin is calculated

There is no way to calculate insulin because each of us has a different individual sensitivity to insulin, and individual differences are very large, so it is determined that there is no way to calculate insulin using a mathematical formula, and even if it is two twins who have diabetes at the same time, eat the same meals, and do the same amount of exercise of the same size, the dose of insulin that they use will be different. So there is no formula for calculating the dose of insulin to use, it can only be done by monitoring blood glucose after starting with a small dose and making adjustments to the insulin dose based on the effect of the blood glucose. So there are only principles for the use of insulin: First, insulin treatment should be carried out on the basis of comprehensive treatment. Second, insulin should start with a small dose and gradually adjust to a suitable dose according to the blood glucose level. Third, the insulin treatment program should strive to simulate the physiological insulin secretion pattern.
