The lower part of the right thorax is clinically called the right epigastrium. In the absence of variation in the normal anatomy, there are mainly some digestive organs, mainly the liver, gallbladder, common bile duct, cystic duct, part of the head of the pancreas, part of the gastroduodenum, in addition to some small intestine, mainly the above organs. Therefore, clinically, if there is discomfort in the right upper abdomen, it is more likely to consider diseases in the above organs. But of course some diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are not precisely localized, for example, simple common appendicitis, which will present early with metastatic right lower abdominal pain, and early mainly manifests as pain in the stomach area. So clinical judgment based on the location of the pain is not particularly accurate, but there is a certain degree of reliability. In case of right upper abdominal discomfort in most cases it is caused by organ disease in the right upper abdomen or caused by the involvement of peripheral organ disease with dispersion.
