Chondroma osteoma mostly refers to chondrosarcoma, which is a benign bone tumor that occurs in the bone and on the bone surface, with hyaline cartilage as the main lesion. Chondrosarcoma occurs in the hand, foot short-like bone, can be divided into single chondrosarcoma and multiple chondrosarcoma, multiple chondrosarcoma is also known as Ollier’s disease, multiple chondrosarcoma at the same time accompanied by hemangiomas of the body surface or organs, known as Maffucci syndrome. The etiology of chondrosarcoma is not clear may be related to genetics, radioactive stimulation and other factors. The pathogenesis of chondrosarcoma is unclear and may be related to chondrocyte dysplasia and abnormal bone proliferation. The diagnosis of chondroma needs to be combined with symptoms and imaging. Clinical manifestations often include palpable lumps in the fingers or palms without obvious pain, limb deformities, and so on. X-rays of chondrosarcoma often show a confined, well-margined, oval, transparent shadow. Treatment of asymptomatic chondromas with small lesions is based on observation, while symptomatic chondromas with large lesions or even causing limb deformities require surgical treatment. When symptoms related to chondrosarcoma appear, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time and follow the standardized treatment prescribed by the doctor.
