Many diseases give some early warning to patients and friends at the early stage of onset, however, due to the lack of medical knowledge and the neglect of health, the best time for treatment is often missed. So what are the symptoms of aspirin intolerance triad? Let’s learn more about it together. Aspirin intolerance triad is an unexplained whistling tract hyperresponsive disease. These patients are often accompanied by nasal polyps and bronchial asthma. Aspirin, anti-inflammatory pain and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, often induced rhinitis (sneezing, runny), asthma attacks, but also accompanied by urticaria, angiohematoma and other symptoms. Experimental immunological studies and clinical examination have confirmed that the disease is not related to allergic reactions. It is now widely hypothesized that a shift in cell membrane arachidonic acid metabolism, producing excessive leukobriene (LTS), is the main link in the development of the disease. LTS is both a strong bronchial smooth muscle contraction factor and a biologically active inflammatory mediator, of which LT4 has high chemotactic activity on eosinophils. The cytotoxic substances (mainly alkaline proteins) released by the latter not only cause damage to the mucosal epithelium and increase its sensitivity, but also disrupt the innervation of the walls of the small vessels in the nasal mucosa, causing dilatation and increased permeability of the small vessels, exacerbating tissue edema and contributing to the formation of polyps. The disease often starts with vasomotor manifestations, patients may have more watery nasal discharge with eosinophils, later there may be progressive hypertrophic sinusitis and nasal polyp formation, and asthma may occur after middle age. Patients taking aspirin and other antipyretic and analgesic drugs can often trigger rhinitis or asthma attacks, and very few patients can have severe reactions, such as chest tightness, throat obstruction, or even shock and death. According to the clinical manifestations, this disease has the following characteristics: ① there are often recurrent sinusitis; ② nasal polyps after surgery is very easy to recur; ③ asthma is more severe and often adrenocorticotropic hormone-dependent; ④ food color additives (tartrazine, tartiazine) and preservatives (benzyl alcohol) also often cause asthma attacks and make nasal polyps aggravated. The above is a brief introduction to the symptoms of aspirin intolerance triad, which I hope will be helpful. For aspirin intolerance triad, we can only resume a healthy life as soon as possible with early treatment.
