What are leaf solid nodules

Lobular solid nodules are usually found on chest X-ray or CT of the lungs as dense shadows within the lobes of the lungs, often appearing as nodules or masses. If it is a nodule, it is usually less than 3cm in diameter. If it is a mass, it is often more than 3cm in diameter. Lung nodules are generally categorized into solid sub-solid and ground glass nodules, with sub-solid and ground glass nodules having a greater likelihood of malignancy. If the nodule is smaller than 8mm, it can be observed periodically, i.e., lung CT after 3 months; if there is no change, lung CT after 6 months; if there is still no change, the follow-up period should be decided under the guidance of the doctor. If it is larger than 8mm, thoracic surgery is still recommended. Most of the lung nodules are actually benign lesions, the possible causes are lung infection, tuberculosis, lung old lesions, pulmonary nodular disease, etc. A very small number of patients also have lung malignant tumors, generally if the diameter of the size of less than 8mm, the probability of malignancy will be relatively low. If the nodules are in bad shape, with burr, lobulation, vascular signs, etc., the diagnosis should generally be further clarified. If problems are found, prompt treatment should be given.
