As we all know, rehabilitation medicine started late in China, and although the development of rehabilitation has been in full swing in recent years, it is still limited to some large and medium-sized cities. The concept of rehabilitation is not yet popular in the hearts of the country, and many patients’ knowledge of rehabilitation still remains in acupuncture, moxibustion, physiotherapy, massage, and even many clinical staff know little about rehabilitation medicine, especially in general hospitals, because of the weak awareness of rehabilitation, departmental economic benefits and many other factors, so that rehabilitation medicine has not achieved its due status, many hospitals emphasize clinical rehabilitation, which seriously affects the development of rehabilitation medicine. This has seriously affected the development of rehabilitation medicine. The following I combine the development of rehabilitation medicine in our hospital, talk about the development of rehabilitation medicine in general hospitals. 1. Clarify the positioning of the department. In recent years, the state has issued a series of policies to promote the development of rehabilitation, and has put forward some guiding opinions on the construction of the rehabilitation medicine department, which should be based on the actual situation of each hospital, such as the level of the hospital, the scope of services, different service targets, etc., to develop a rehabilitation development plan in line with the hospital, in the rehabilitation of difficult and critical diseases and common diseases, acute and subacute rehabilitation, stable rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, rehabilitation research and rehabilitation. In terms of community rehabilitation, rehabilitation scientific research and rehabilitation clinical aspects, etc., there is a focus. 2. Pay attention to the cultivation of talents. The department should pay attention to the way of “sending out and inviting in” to introduce and train high-quality rehabilitation physicians and therapists, so that everyone can have expertise. At the same time, attention should be paid to strengthening the training of rehabilitation physicians and therapists within the department, on-the-job training, domestic and foreign training and participation in academic activities to create a technical team with high medical professional knowledge and business ability to ensure the development of professional technology and improve medical quality. 3.Strengthen rehabilitation publicity and establish brand development awareness. How can we achieve the purpose of propaganda if a team is just working silently, unknown to patients, unknown to peers and unknown to society? Our department, through printed brochures, TV reports of typical cases, and the network and other channels, vigorously promote rehabilitation medicine, strengthen patients’ and medical staff’s understanding of rehabilitation medicine, update people’s concept of rehabilitation, so that more and more people’s accept rehabilitation and choose rehabilitation. At the same time, we must also establish brand awareness, expand the scope of business, carry out special treatment, improve core competitiveness, and create their own rehabilitation brand. 4.Scientific standardized management, strengthen service consciousness: scientific management is the guarantee of the healthy and sustainable development of the department. The leader of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine can not only focus on clinical, engage in rough management. Management out of efficiency, so that the department’s personnel, equipment, every detail of the service, with the system to ensure the operation of the process, everyone set the post, positioning, responsibility, do a good job of daily performance management and regular assessment, so that the rules and regulations to the letter. In the work must strengthen the service consciousness, people-oriented, the use of cultural salon, the organization of thematic interaction and other ways to strengthen the doctor-patient communication, improve the details of the service, to protect the rights and interests of patients and improve patient satisfaction. 5, pay attention to communication, strengthen cooperation and exchange. In today’s information age, attention should be paid to strengthening communication among peers, and avoid working behind closed doors. We are not crossing the river by feeling the stones. There are many successful cases of rehabilitation development in China that we can learn from. We need to actively establish cooperative relationships with high level institutions in the same field to help each other and learn from each other, which will greatly promote the development of our own discipline. 6. Strengthen collaboration with related departments in hospitals. Many general hospitals have only a few patients receiving rehabilitation treatment. No! The reason is the weak concept of rehabilitation and the lack of effective collaboration between departments. In our hospital, the rehabilitation physicians took the initiative to establish contact with the neurosurgery and orthopedic departments, so that they could be familiar with the rehabilitation patients and understand the functional assessment and treatment methods of the rehabilitation department, as well as participate in the clinical rounds of the other departments, suggest rehabilitation treatment for patients who need rehabilitation, and fully implement early rehabilitation intervention. This not only enhances their awareness of rehabilitation, but also provides a channel for sending patients with rehabilitation value to the rehabilitation department at a later stage. 7. Pay attention to development details and avoid blindness. In recent years, although many hospitals have given strong support to the development of rehabilitation, and the construction of rehabilitation disciplines has been carried out with great enthusiasm, there are some problems in the process of construction, such as focusing only on hardware construction, not on connotation construction, focusing only on economic benefits, not on social benefits; the introduction of equipment lack of research, blindly introduced, introduced but not used, detached from the actual department, resulting in a great waste of resources. These problems should attract sufficient attention of managers.
