Eltrombopta tablets are used to treat chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura by raising platelets, usually in patients who have failed glucocorticoid therapy, immunoglobulin therapy, or who have had unsatisfactory results after splenectomy. This drug is a non-peptide agonist of the thrombopoietin receptor, and preclinical and clinical studies have shown that it stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of platelet-bearing bone marrow megakaryocytes and acts to elevate platelets. During the course of drug development, this drug was used as a landmark drug for patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. In conclusion, Eltrombopta has mainly platelet-elevating effects and can be used for chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
