What are the reactions to monkeypox?

High fever, headache, backache, general malaise, cough, enlarged lymph nodes, and occasional abdominal pain occur with monkeypox disease. Bacterial infection, sepsis, pulmonary infection, respiratory distress syndrome and other complications can also occur during the course of the disease. 1. Typical symptoms The clinical manifestations of human monkeypox are similar to smallpox, but the general symptoms are milder. The course of the disease can be divided into invasive stage and skin rash stage. (1) Invasive stage: characterized by fever, severe headache, lymph node pain, lymph node swelling, back pain, myalgia and extreme weakness. (2) Skin rash stage: the rash can occur all over the body, 95% of cases occur on the face, 75% of cases occur on the palms of both hands and soles of both feet, and the rash occurs almost simultaneously on all parts of the body. It lasts about 10 days, and the rash develops from maculopapular rash to blisters, pustules and finally scabs. After about 3 weeks, the scabs fall off and disappear. 2. Other symptoms Systemic lesions damage the site, such as 70% of cases damage to the oral mucosa, 30% damage to the cheeks, 20% damage to the eyelids and cornea. Some patients can have severe lymphadenopathy and lymph node lesions before the appearance of the rash. Medical attention should be sought as soon as monkeypox is acquired.
