Three major signs of a bad heart face

The heart is an important organ of the circulatory system in the body, which cooperates with the lungs to deliver oxygen-rich arterial blood to all organs and tissues of the body. When the heart is bad, it will lead to the reduction and slowing down of arterial blood flow throughout the body, and the face is located in the highest position of the body, the symptoms of ischemia and hypoxia will be more obvious, which are mainly manifested clinically in the following three aspects: 1. Cyanosis: Cyanosis is mostly related to hypoxia, which is generally manifested as cyanosis of the face, lips, nail bed or other parts. Cyanosis can occur when deoxygenated hemoglobin in the blood >50g/L. It is common in congenital heart disease with right-to-left shunt, or in patients with heart failure. In addition, patients with rheumatic heart disease and mitral stenosis can also see symptoms such as purple-red cheeks and mild cyanosis of the mouth and lips, which is also clinically called mitral valve face; 2. Edema: Patients with cardiac insufficiency cannot adequately return blood to the heart, and edema often occurs, which usually involves both lower limbs first. However, if the patient is in a recumbent position for a long time, edema may also occur on the face; 3. Lid xanthomas: Lid xanthomas are yellow or orange plaques with clear borders on the surface of the eyelids, and some studies have found that patients with lid xanthomas have a significantly higher risk of myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease, atherosclerosis, and other cardiac lesions. In addition, patients with cardiac insufficiency may also experience symptoms in other parts of the body, such as dyspnea, chest pain, chest discomfort, palpitations, panic attacks, coughing, hemoptysis, and a range of other manifestations, and in severe cases, syncope. Patients with cardiac insufficiency may have a greater impact on their daily life, and if left untreated for a long time, they may have a high death and disability rate. Patients with these symptoms are advised to go to the hospital immediately if possible to rule out organic heart disease.
