With the improvement of living standards, the incidence of colorectal cancer in China has been on the rise year by year in recent years. Apart from receiving standardized treatment (including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and targeted therapy), colorectal cancer patients also play a pivotal role in disease prevention and control through a healthy lifestyle. Obesity has been considered as a high risk factor for colon cancer development. Therefore, in terms of lifestyle, patients should ensure a certain amount of exercise, which includes moderate or vigorous physical exercise, while receiving treatment. Recent clinical studies have found that aspirin and celecoxib are effective in preventing colorectal cancer. Currently, two large epidemiological survey projects on colorectal cancer conducted in China both suggest that early screening plays a good role in promoting prevention and control of colorectal cancer and promoting healthy lifestyle habits.
