Effects of betel nut on men

The effects of betel nut consumption on men may lead to serious diseases such as oral cancer. It may also lead to localized oral mucosal fibrosis, which in turn causes hardening of the mucous membranes in the mouth, inability to open the mouth, restriction of oral and muscular movements, etc. It may also affect the appetite and lead to malnutrition. However, the health effects of betel nut are not related to gender. 1. Chewing betel nut may cause chewing muscles to develop, thus affecting aesthetics, and long-term betel nut chewing may even lead to oral cancer. 2. It may also cause fibrosis of the oral mucosa, which in turn leads to hardening of the mucosa in the mouth, thus leading to restricted oral movement and difficulty in opening the mouth. 3. Long-term betel nut consumption may result in relatively poor appetite or a greater preference for heavy foods, such as barbecue and deep-fried, which may lead to malnutrition in the long run. Therefore, both men and women are advised to eat less betel nut.
