Patients with cirrhosis mainly show symptoms of liver insufficiency and portal hypertension, and usually do not have bone and joint pain.
Cirrhosis patients will have a series of liver insufficiency symptoms, such as poor digestion and absorption, malnutrition, bleeding tendency, endocrine disorders, liver palms, spider nevus, etc. due to the extensive necrosis of hepatocytes and the formation of pseudo lobe, which will seriously affect the normal function of liver, and usually will not cause bone and joint pain symptoms.
After the formation of pseudo lobe of cirrhosis, it will destroy the structure of normal hepatic lobule, causing the pressure of portal vein branch and causing portal hypertension, patients can have ascites, gastrointestinal discomfort, dyspepsia, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage and other symptoms of portal hypertension, but it will rarely cause bone and joint pain symptoms.
Bone and joint pain is usually seen in trauma or sports system diseases, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc. In a few cases, it can also be caused by chronic kidney disease, which is also known as renal bone disease.
It is recommended that patients go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out the cause of the pain and treat it accordingly.
