What’s wrong with acid reflux when you have normal bowel movements?

Acid reflux with normal stools may be caused by physiological factors such as diet, or pathological factors such as chronic gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
1. Physiological factors: when eating a lot of too acidic, too sweet, too spicy and other stimulating foods, or smoking and drinking, etc., will stimulate the gastric mucosa to secrete an excessive amount of gastric acid, acid reflux but normal stools. Certain mental factors, such as too much tension, anxiety, etc., will also appear normal stools and acid reflux symptoms.
2. Pathological factors: when the patient has chronic gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer, esophageal cancer and other diseases, it will also be accompanied by excessive secretion of gastric acid, which will lead to acid reflux, but at this time the stool may be normal.
If the patient has the symptom of acid reflux with normal stools for a long time or repeatedly, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease and carry out targeted treatment.
