Note: This scale is used to assess the ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL) and is one of the characteristic and commonly used scales in rehabilitation medicine. It can be used to evaluate patients before, during and after treatment. The actual daily performance of the patient is used as the basis for evaluation, not the ability the patient may have.
0-20 points = very severe dysfunction
25-45 points = severe functional impairment
50-70 points = Moderate functional deficit
75-95 points = mild functional impairment
100 points = ADL self-care
