Are DNA ploidy abnormal cells ≥3 serious? The answer is not necessarily. We know that women of childbearing age should have regular cervical cancer screening, which means they should have a cervical cytology smear test, usually called TCT, to find out whether there are abnormal cervical epithelial cells. When the report shows that there are ≥3 abnormal DNA ploidy cells, it means that there are abnormal cells in the cervical epithelium, and the cause of this abnormal cells needs further examination, which means that further colposcopic biopsy of the cervix should be done, and HPV test should be done. Only through these further tests can we determine whether the abnormal cells are caused by inflammation or precancerous lesions, and only after the diagnosis is made can we state whether it is serious or not.
