Usually infants can sleep on pillows after 3-4 months of age, and pillows can also be used if the 1-3 month old baby is spilling milk or breathing poorly. Infants begin to develop a normal physiological curvature of the cervical spine at 3-4 months of age and may consider using a pillow, but it is recommended that it be no more than 3 centimeters. Pillows are usually not recommended for newborns, but if the infant has severe overflow, spitting up or breathing problems, a towel can be folded about 1 cm high and used as a pillow to prevent spitting up or to relieve breathing difficulties. Pillow covers are recommended to be made of pure cotton and more absorbent substances so as not to cause allergies or other skin discomforts in infants. When adding stuffing inside the pillow, the stuffing should be rinsed out with water and then exposed to the sun and dried before adding it to the pillow. The height of the baby pillow can be gradually increased as the baby gets older.
